Merry Christmas

I love Christmas ... even when it brings thick fog and 70 degree weather instead of fluffy snow. I hope that your day was wonderful and filled with memories that will last your lifetime.

May the light of Christmas live in your heart.

"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light" (Isaiah).

It is still the most wonderful time of the year ...

Here are a few more photos from the Christmas program at the Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church in Vinton, LA.

The most wonderful time of the year ...

Here we are on the eve of Christmas Eve. The music and children's ministries at my church performed a great program on Sunday. For some reason, my camera kept catching the kids misbehaving just a bit. Still, there are some great shots that allow the true personalities of these kids to show through.

For the scrapbook layout I am planning I am calling this: "It's not easy being an angel ... or a shepherd ... or a wiseman ... or a king!" You remember those days of being dressed in costume and standing in front of the church like a deer in the headlights hoping you didn't do anything stupid -- well, maybe you don't remember those days, but I will never forget them.

Christmas Parade, Vinton, LA

Someone asked me at church today if I had posted the pictures of Santa and his elves ... I completely forgot to post these great shots, so here they are now! Have you ever seen elves like this? I know that Santa had not and he was just a little bit surprised!
