I spent the early part of the week at the clergy retreat at the Wesley Center in Woodworth, LA. Free time is part of the process of retreat and I spent my free afternoon at the zoo in Alexandria. The weather was chilly, but pleasant. The animals are so beautiful. I particularly loved the jaguar -- he was sleeping peacefully when I walked up, but my presence raised an alarm and he had to check me out. It wasn't long before he realized I was no threat and he went back to his afternoon nap.
