Peachy Keen Stamps are the Best!

I love Peachy Keen face stamps and just got a new set I have to play with.  This set matches the baby animals on the Cricut cartridge, New Arrival.  Look at those sweet faces!

Staycation, Day #3 -- Shangri La, Orange, TX

Today is my out and about day. I headed over to Orange, TX for a bit of lunch and to check out the botanical gardens. Wow! What a great experience. The boat ride is awesome, the walking paths amazing. I can't wait to go back and check it out throughout the year to see how things change.

United Methodist Day of Caring -- May 15, 2011

United Methodist churches throughout the world went out and about in their communities today for a Day of Caring.  We worked with the ladies of one of the adult group homes in Vinton and helped them make mini-scrapbooks.  We had so much fun, so many giggles, and so much joy!

Vacationing in Oklahoma -- January 2011

It seems that I have lived in the south too long to remember Oklahoma winters.  I traveled to Oklahoma in January and spent some time with my sister shopping in Joplin on an amazingly gorgeous Saturday.  Saturday night it all changed and by Sunday morning the wind chill was in single digits when I headed to church at First Presbyterian Church, the church of my childhood.  By Monday, blizzard warnings were out and I was on the run, landing in Tyler, TX for a few days where the storm found me again.  I got back to SW Louisiana in time for the snow flurries at home also.  Gotta love it!

Backyard Bird Journal 2011

Since moving to Vinton and becoming the feeder of many birds, I have wanted a journal to track what birds visit my yard and when they come. I just created this journal using Your Story Photo book binder, the Cricut Imagine machine, and the Cuttlebug machine.

The journal is 5.5 x 8.5 and has journaling pages between each month to track my feathered friends as they come and go on their journeys.

Cards from the new Cricut cartridge -- Smiley Cards!

I was able to sync my Gypsy and get the free cartridge download early. These two cards are made from the new Smiley Cards cartridge -- so cute! I put in multiples of the tri-fold card so you can see how it opens. I love that smiley caramel apple. The shiny sun card was made as a test to make sure the sync was complete. I think I am going to love this new cartridge -- and it was free! What is not to love about that? Of course, everyone trying to do the update/sync brought down the Cricut message board, but I am confident that they will have that up and running again in no time.
