Here is the kaleidoscope quilt fully finished! I love it! Each block is made from the same fabric (the border fabric) and each block is amazingly unique!

Another trip to Shangri La
Today was beautiful. With the low humidity and the nice breeze, it was just too pretty to be inside. So I headed to Shangri La in Orange, TX with my camera.

Decorating my craft space!
I have added some of my own photography to my craft space! I got these film strip frames at Michael's a while back and just never took the time to choose and print my photos. Finally, while on Staycation I got the job done!
The set on the left were taken this week at Shangri La.
The middle set are the churches that have shaped me.
The right side are photos of flowers from my garden.
It is nice to have a bit more of the creative me in my creative space.

Peachy Keen Stamps are the Best!
I love Peachy Keen face stamps and just got a new set I have to play with. This set matches the baby animals on the Cricut cartridge, New Arrival. Look at those sweet faces!

United Methodist Day of Caring -- May 15, 2011
United Methodist churches throughout the world went out and about in their communities today for a Day of Caring. We worked with the ladies of one of the adult group homes in Vinton and helped them make mini-scrapbooks. We had so much fun, so many giggles, and so much joy!

Vacationing in Oklahoma -- January 2011
It seems that I have lived in the south too long to remember Oklahoma winters. I traveled to Oklahoma in January and spent some time with my sister shopping in Joplin on an amazingly gorgeous Saturday. Saturday night it all changed and by Sunday morning the wind chill was in single digits when I headed to church at First Presbyterian Church, the church of my childhood. By Monday, blizzard warnings were out and I was on the run, landing in Tyler, TX for a few days where the storm found me again. I got back to SW Louisiana in time for the snow flurries at home also. Gotta love it!
